Our story

Three seasons dark.
Now the busiest
corner of Menomonie.

A course of this caliber inside Menomonie's city limits is rare, and for three seasons it sat vacant. Owner Mark Wallskog, a hospitality veteran behind Heartwood Resort & Conference Center in Trego, bought it with one commitment: restore it properly.

Since reopening in 2023, the greens have come back, the restaurant and event center have filled up, and Tanglewood has turned into what it was always meant to be, a place the whole community shows up to.

How do I book a tee time?
Tee times are booked online through Tee Snap, our live booking system. Use the tee time finder at the top of this page or call the pro shop at (715) 440-3650 and we will get you on the sheet.
Do I need to golf to visit Wood & Vine?
Not at all. Wood & Vine is a full restaurant and bar open to everyone, golfer or not, with rooftop seating over the course, a fish fry on Fridays, live music through the season and igloo dining in winter.
What is the Toptracer Range?
Toptracer is the ball-tracking technology used on TV golf broadcasts. Every bay on our range traces your shot and reports carry, speed and flight, and you can play virtual games. It is genuinely fun whether you are a scratch golfer or have never held a club.
Can beginners play the course?
Yes. Tanglewood plays honest and rewards a straight ball more than a long one, and every cart has GPS to help you pick a target. Lessons are available all season, and the Toptracer Range is a low-pressure place to start.
How far in advance should we ask about weddings and events?
As early as you can. We keep the wedding calendar intentionally limited so each couple gets the full attention of the team, which means dates go quickly. Corporate retreats and golf outings have more flexibility. Reach out and we will talk through it.
