Can I use two different stones for the surround and hearth?

Absolutely. Many of our surrounds pair a bold stone on the surround with a calmer stone on the hearth or vice versa, and we will help you pick a pairing that works.

Do you build the mantel too?

We fabricate the stone surround and hearth. Wood mantels are typically supplied by a carpenter or cabinet shop, and we are glad to coordinate sizing with them.

How long does a fireplace surround take?

Once your slab is chosen and the fireplace opening is templated, fabrication is usually quick since it is a smaller footprint than a full kitchen.
