Basement & Foundation Excavation in Superior, WI

Dug square, backfilled right

Full basement digs, footing prep, backfill, and rough grade for new builds across Douglas County and the Twin Ports.

  • Dug to your builder's plan, checked against grade stakes
  • Drainage figured out before the first bucket of clay
  • Backfill placed in lifts so nothing settles later

The Work

From the first stake to rough grade

A foundation is only as good as the hole it sits in. We handle everything the dirt touches and time it around your builder's schedule.

  • Full basement and crawl space digs cut square, to depth, with room for the crew to work
  • Footing and drain tile prep so water moves around the house instead of into it
  • Backfill and rough grade after the walls cure, without crowding fresh concrete

Questions

Straight answers

Deep enough to get below frost, and that is not a guess here. We dig to the depth on your approved plan and make sure the footing sits on solid, undisturbed ground.

Yes. Clay holds water, so the dig is planned around it: cut to solid ground, keep the hole drained while the work happens, and use the right fill coming back.

After the walls have cured and your builder gives the go-ahead. We backfill in compacted lifts and stay off fresh concrete.

Yes. Additions, crawl spaces, garages, and frost-protected slabs all get the same treatment: dug to plan, drained, and graded.
