Safe Step Commercial bath refinishing

A guest tub takes one night out of inventory.

Replacing it takes the better part of a week and brings a demolition crew into your corridor to do it. That is the whole argument, and everything below is the detail behind it: what each service does, what it is guaranteed for, and what it costs the property in room-nights.

What we would do in your bathrooms

Five services. The room-nights column is calculated against the property you set in the rail. Where Safe Step does not publish a duration, the row says so rather than filling it with a guess.

The two ways this goes

Replace the tubs 600 room-nights out of inventory
  • At 5 days per bathroom, the figure you set in the rail
  • Demolition, plumbing, tile, cure and reset
  • Saw noise and debris through guest corridors
  • The room next door often goes out with it
  • Opening a wall finds what is behind it, and timelines move
Refinish with Safe Step 120 room-nights out of inventory
  • One night per bathroom, Safe Step's published figure
  • Clean-cut technicians working alongside hotel staff
  • Routinely finished without guests noticing
  • Six coats, holding up to seven years with correct care
  • Fixed scope and written guarantee terms per service line

Refinishing keeps 480 more room-nights sellable than replacing, worth $63,936 at your rate and occupancy. The refinishing itself costs you $15,984 in room revenue, which is the honest number to weigh against a quote.

Why it exists
A pool deck in the summer of 2000 The founders' four-year-old daughter slipped on a hotel's tile pool deck. The manager told Mark there were no high-quality methods for improving slip resistance. A year of trial and error later there was one.

From the properties

"I am impressed with the service level and cannot say enough good things about how communicative and organized Greg has been. The team have hit their targets and also helped mitigate odors so there is the least disturbance to our guests."
Brent K.  ·  General Manager, Hyatt Place Kansas City
"Zach and Ruben were great, very professional, great with the employees and very good at explaining to guests when asked what was going on. I wish all of the technicians we have in the building from time to time were as good as those two were."
Ad S.  ·  Hilton Waco
"Fred Niles and Jeff Knop were wonderful to work with. Professional in their appearance, conduct, information updates and repair quality. We will probably be doing some more tubs after our PIP is completed at the end of this year."
Michael W.  ·  Hilton Indianapolis Hotel
"Your technicians did an outstanding job on our bathroom tubs."
Suzane  ·  Courtyard Atlanta
