SGI Auto Glass is the auto glass side of Superior Glass, a Twin Ports glass company that goes back to 1925. Same family of shops, same corner of the world, a lot of windshields in between.
Superior Glass has been cutting and setting glass in the Twin Ports since 1925. Storefronts, homes, shower doors, tabletops, and eventually the thing that turned into its own business: vehicles.
Auto glass grew into SGI Auto Glass, with its own shop on Belknap Street in Superior. The work changed a lot along the way. Windshields went from a piece of glass in a rubber gasket to a bonded structural part carrying cameras for lane keeping and automatic braking. What did not change is that somebody local still has to get it right.
