Seventeen miles east along Highway 2. Long driveways and equipment that does not want to be trailered anywhere is exactly what the mobile unit is for.
Poplar is a straight run east on Highway 2, about seventeen miles out. A cracked windshield out here should not mean a trip into town and back, so the van comes to you. Long gravel driveways and equipment parked well off the road are normal, and neither is a problem.
Highway 2 itself does most of the damage. It carries log trucks and freight at speed, and a loaded truck throws stone whether you are behind it or meeting it. Rural driveways and county roads add the rest.
Distances are straight line from the shop door. Road miles run a little longer.
