About Howdy Garage Doors
Family-owned, operated by John Warapius, and built almost entirely on referrals from Bryan and College Station neighbors. Here is how we work and what we will not do.

A Family-Owned Garage Door Company in Bryan-College Station
Howdy Garage Doors is a family-owned company operated by John Warapius, serving Bryan, College Station and the surrounding Brazos Valley. We handle residential and commercial work, from a single broken spring on a Saturday morning to a full door replacement on a new build.
Most of our work comes by referral, which shapes how we operate more than any mission statement would. In a town this size your name is only as good as your last job, and the person who recommended you hears about it either way. That is a useful kind of pressure. It means we would rather talk you out of a repair you do not need than sell you one and lose the next three calls that would have come from you.
Practically, that shows up as published pricing, a written number before we start, and a text before we pull into your driveway. None of that is remarkable. It is just what we would want if we were the ones waiting on a technician.

What Happens When You Call Us
Garage door companies are easy to complain about for the same few reasons: nobody tells you the price, nobody tells you when they are coming, and the person who shows up is not who you hired. Here is how we deal with each of those.
You get a real price up front
Our service call fee is published on this site before you ever ring us. After we diagnose the door you get the repair number in writing, and you decide from there.
You get a text before we arrive
At least 30 minutes ahead, so you are not burning a whole afternoon guessing. If we are running behind, you hear it from us first.
You get our technician, not a stranger
The person on your driveway works for Howdy. Customers ask for Tucker by name in their reviews, which is only possible when the same people keep showing up.
You get the whole system checked
A broken spring stresses the cables, drums and rollers. We look at all of it before calling the job done, because coming back out for the part we ignored helps nobody.
Meet the Team Behind the Truck
John Warapius runs the business. His technicians are the ones who show up at your door, and customers ask for them by name.
“Had a great experience with Howdy Garage Doors! Tucker was professional, communicated everything clearly, and fixed our garage door issue quickly. The door honestly opens smoother and better now than it did when it was brand new.”
Four Things We Won’t Do
Every company will tell you what they do. These are the ones worth putting in writing, because they are the complaints we hear about the last guy.
Quote you a price we have not earned
We will not guess a repair cost over the phone to get in your driveway and then revise it upward once we are there. You get the number after we see the door, in writing.
Sell you a door you do not need
If your door is sound and one part failed, that is a repair, and we will say so. We would rather do the $200 job now and the $2,000 job in ten years than the reverse.
Give you a four-hour window
Your time is worth something. We text at least 30 minutes before arrival so you can carry on with your day instead of sitting by the window.
Send someone you did not hire
No subcontractor lottery. The technician who shows up works here, wears our shirt, and drives the truck with our hat on the door.
What You Get With Every Job
Upfront pricing
Published service call fees, not a surprise number once we’re already in your driveway.
Same-day service, most days
A broken spring or dead opener doesn’t wait for next week, and neither do we.
Warranty on parts and labor
If something we installed or repaired fails, we come back and make it right.
Professional and insured
Real technicians, not a subcontractor lottery. We stand behind who shows up.
All the major brands
Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton doors, and LiftMaster, Genie, Craftsman and Raynor openers, on standard and custom doors.
Serving Bryan, College Station and the Brazos Valley
We are based in College Station and we travel. How far we go affects the service call fee, and we publish that rather than working it into the repair price where you cannot see it.
Bryan & College Station
Our home turf. Fastest response, lowest service call fee, same-day availability most days.
Brazos County
Full service outside the city limits. Same technicians, same honest pricing.
