Ductless Mini-Split Services in Superior, WI & Duluth, MN

No ducts? No problem.

Half the houses up here heat with radiators and have no ductwork at all. A mini-split needs a three-inch hole, so those homes can finally get cooling and a second heat source.

Ductless mini-split head installed on a Twin Ports home

The rooms your system never reached.

Every old house has one: the upstairs bedroom that bakes in July, the addition on its own weather system, the porch nobody uses in August. Running ductwork to them is a remodel. A mini-split is an afternoon.

  • Hot-water-heated homes that have no ducts to work with
  • Additions, bonus rooms, finished attics, three-season porches
  • Room-by-room temperature control instead of one thermostat wins
  • A quiet second heat source when the main system is working hard

$2,000Federal 25C tax credit

Qualifying cold-climate heat pump and high-efficiency installs can earn the federal 25C tax credit: 30% of project cost, up to $2,000. Utility rebates through programs like Minnesota Power and Superior Water, Light & Power may stack on top, depending on the equipment and your address.

We flag exactly what your install qualifies for on the written estimate. And we never pad a price to "cover" a rebate. The discount is real or we do not mention it.

"Had a cold climate heat pump installed with gas furnace backup. I received 3 bids and Advantage Air had the best price without artificially lowering it with rebates. They were on time, removed the old oil furnace, coordinated all the electrical work, and did a great job explaining the new technology."

The ones we hear most

Yes, and ductless is usually the answer. A mini-split needs a three-inch hole, not a duct chase, so a hot-water-heated house can finally get cooling without tearing into ceilings and closets.

Both. A ductless system is a heat pump, so it heats and cools with the same equipment. Cold-climate models keep producing heat well below zero, which is why they work here and not just on paper.

That is one of the best uses for it. A single head in a bonus room over the garage, a finished attic, a three-season porch, or an addition the old system never reached, without touching the rest of the house.

The indoor head is quiet, usually quieter than a furnace kicking on, because the compressor lives outside. Sizing and placement matter, which is why we look at the room instead of guessing from a floor plan.

Fix the room nobody uses.

We will look at the space, size it honestly, and tell you if ductless is even the right answer.
