HVAC & Plumbing Maintenance in Superior, WI & Duluth, MN
Find it in September, not January.
A worn part caught during a fall tune-up is an appointment. The same part failing at 2 a.m. in a cold snap is an emergency, and so is everyone else's.
Your furnace runs seven months a year.
A system in the Twin Ports logs far more hours than the same unit would somewhere with a short winter. That extra runtime is exactly why annual service moves the needle here, and why a skipped year shows up sooner than you would expect.
- Catch worn parts while they are still an appointment
- Safety checks on the heat exchanger, combustion, and venting
- Keep the system at the top of its service life, not the bottom
- One visit can cover HVAC and plumbing, because we do both
What a real tune-up covers.
Burner & Heat Exchanger
Cleaned and inspected, with combustion and gas pressure checked against spec.
Safety Controls
Limits, flame sensing, and CO checks tested, not just glanced at. This is the part that matters.
Airflow & Filter
Blower cleaned, filter checked and sized right, so the equipment is not fighting the ductwork.
Boiler Specifics
Pressure, expansion tank, and circulators on hot water systems, plus bleeding where rooms run cold.
Plumbing Look-Over
Water heater, visible supply lines, and slow drains. Catching a weep beats finding a wet basement.

Neighbors who made the same call
"Had a cold climate heat pump installed with gas furnace backup. I received 3 bids and Advantage Air had the best price without artificially lowering it with rebates. They were on time, removed the old oil furnace, coordinated all the electrical work, and did a great job explaining the new technology."
Worth asking before the season turns
Early fall, before the first hard freeze. Two reasons: a problem found in September is an appointment, and the same problem found in January is an emergency call in the cold with everyone else calling too.
We clean and inspect the burner and heat exchanger, check gas pressure and combustion, test safety controls, check the blower and filter, verify thermostat operation, and look at venting. On a boiler we also check pressure, the expansion tank, and the circulators.
It mostly buys you two things: fewer surprise failures and a system that reaches the top of its service life instead of the bottom. Runtime is high here, so equipment wears faster than the same unit would somewhere with a short winter.
Yes. Comfort Club covers both sides of the house, so the same visit can check the water heater, look for slow leaks, and flag a drain that is starting to run sluggish.
Get on the schedule before the rush.
Fall books up fast around here. A tune-up now is the cheapest heating call you will make all year.
