HVAC & Plumbing Services in Superior, WI
Superior is home base. Literally.
The shop is on Tower Ave, the trucks sleep here, and half our crew grew up here. Furnaces, boilers, plumbing, and drains for the city we call home.

A North End four-square with original radiators. A South Superior rambler on its third furnace. A Billings Park bungalow with galvanized pipe that has seen enough. Superior's housing stock is old, honest, and quirky, and it is exactly what our techs work on every single day.
This is where Advantage Air started in 2014 and where we joined forces with Botten Plumbing in 2021. The shop on Tower Ave runs the whole operation: six plumbers on staff, HVAC crews, and septic service for everything outside city sewer.
- Boiler and radiator work for Superior's pre-war homes
- Furnace repair with parts on the truck
- Six plumbers on staff for drains, water heaters, and repipes
- Septic and holding tanks for homes past the city lines
The whole house, one Tower Ave phone number.

Right here: 1808 Tower Ave in Superior. This is our home base, where the trucks park and the schedule gets run. When you call (715) 817-4404 you are talking to your neighbors, not a call center.
That is most of what we do. North End four-squares with original radiators, post-war ramblers with aging forced-air, Billings Park bungalows with galvanized supply lines. Since taking on Botten Plumbing in 2021 we handle the heating and the plumbing side of all of it.
No, and doing it all at once is not always the right call. Galvanized corrodes from the inside, so the worst runs are usually the horizontal ones and whatever sits closest to the meter. Replacing those first buys back most of the pressure for a fraction of the cost. We will show you what we found and let you stage the rest.
Worth finding out before anyone digs. Seasonal backups usually mean roots or a bellied section in the lateral between the house and the main, which is the homeowner's responsibility. A camera inspection settles it in one visit, and it also tells you whether jetting will hold or whether the line genuinely needs work.
By calculating it, not by matching the sticker on the old one. Square footage, insulation, window area and air sealing all move the number, and a lot of older Twin Ports homes have been insulated since their original furnace went in. Oversizing is the common mistake: it short-cycles, wears parts faster and leaves the house less comfortable, not more.
Eight to twelve years for a standard tank, and hard water shortens that. The tell is usually rusty water, a rumbling tank as sediment cooks on the bottom element, or moisture at the base. A tank that is weeping rather than dripping is on borrowed time; that is the point to plan a replacement instead of waiting for it to let go.
Yes, and it is one of the reasons we keep two shops. Superior dispatches from Tower Ave and Duluth from Matterhorn Drive, so a job that spans both states does not wait on a truck crossing the bridge in traffic. Licensing and permits are handled per state by people who pull them regularly.
Yes: South Range, Oliver, Foxboro, Maple, Lake Nebagamon, Iron River, Brule, Poplar, and Solon Springs, plus septic and holding tank service for homes outside city sewer.
Yes, licensed, bonded, and insured in Wisconsin, with Minnesota licensing for the Duluth side of the bridge as well.
